It's been a while since I blogged even though there exists many occasions that i wish I had taken the time out to blog and record down my thoughts and feelings.
there is so much in life that I wish I have the time to devote my time to, our food blog etc.
but here I am, on a Sunday, after dinner with the family,nursing a runny nose,
and i thought that just before I browsed over work, I will spend some time writing.
Just last week, babe and I went for our staycation. at Ascott for his birthday
and here's what we had!

I thought the dinner was a great success!
I was in charged of the foie gras and the roast chicken.PS: do stuff the chicken drumstick with lemon and thyme, it greatly enhances the taste of the chicken.
Dear did a great job on the penne. Icleaned the plate and I absolutely adore the rostti that he prepared for breakfast.
The week after saw me crazily engulfed in work,
but we do make a conscious effort to squeeze time out for date nights.

I really enjoyed that afternoon down at Kampong Glam.
That Thursday that we both took a break off work together.
A sleep in at my place,
Luncheon down at KG,
Shopping at Haji Lane,
concluding with a quiet dinner at Hanashinzhiku.
Our favorite place for sushi and sashimi.
last afternoon, I bade farewell to Tong together with Von down at Jade.
The boy came along and we both thought the quality of the dim sum has improved.
It's been some time since we last meet up together,
and a great pity that the fortnight that she was here, we only managed to catch up twice.
Decided to get her a passport holder for her upcoming birthday.
Its been years since we celebrated her birthday since she's based in the states all the time.
Looking forward to the wedding in march.
[ Im resuming work tomorrow,
Last stretch before I go on vacation.
I'm feeling the heat
and at the same time a quiet sort of surrender.
there is only this much that I can do right?
On a separate note,
I look back in 2013 and I wonder if there has been more good than lousy days.
ironically enough,
I can't seem to remember the "bad" days.
maybe If i force myself hard enough, I will.
Still, I feel vindicated in part.
because I knew I was right and that I had answered to my conscience all these while.
good things come to people that wait,
have faith even when no one else does.
and keep quiet even when insults were hurled.
I am glad I did not retaliate
and have been honest about how I feel.
at least to myself.
It's time for another act.
