Deafinitely Amazing.

I just returned home from "ignite your inner muse" at ITE College Central with the boyfriend and colleagues. Gladys introduced us to it, since she was previously involved in RSP Hearing Impaired.
This time around, a group of HI youths are raising funds for a overseas learning project to Cambodia, to help fellow HI youths over there.

It was an awe-inspiring 1 hour performance, which touched many many hearts.

Seated in that little auditorium, were rows of youths that look just like everyone else.
Yet, they bring with them, a little defect -hearing imparity.
Still, their faces shine with youthfulness.
Do you know that if you are born deaf,
you probably will never learn to speak,
because,you cannot hear yourself.

Still,
god never forsakes and I really mean it.
He/She watches from above and blessed us,
with beings that shine so much above us in terms of character and attitude towards life.
Optimism, love and a very big heart.
I am so deeply humbled.

Those who knows me well, will understand why I reconcile so much with HI.
and I feel my family is really blessed.
Little things like these that I forget so easily.

Everyday I trudge on facing my defined "obstacles"
lamenting about my "lost", complaining about everything else that's beyond my control.
But there's one thing, I do have control over.
and that's happiness.

You control your own happiness.

Don't be upset over people who don't care about upsetting you.
For, we started off as strangers,
we might just end off being strangers, with memories. :)

[ On a lighter note,
Babe brought me out for a date at a new  Jap place post-performance.
It's called Rakuichi and it's superbly good.
I'll rank it on par with Tomi Sushi.
Right now, it is located at Oasia Hotel, opposite TTSH and right beside SQ 2.

The sashimi were all chosen fresh and imported from Japan.
We each had a set dinner,
comprising mainly of sashimi and sushi.
I think I will upload the pictures on another day? Maybe after I've collated them.
Or you can check them on my FB, under escapades 2013.

To end off,
I will like to do a little advert for the org.
Do support this group of very inspiring youths.
They may be challenged physically, but it does not stop them from wanting to do something in return for society.
They'll be having a "musical" via song signing on the 28th of April 2013
3 - 5 pm at Substation.
You can check out their work here :

Do join them.
