Another Sunday, and I'm reading on the AKP post graduate scholarship at NUS while watching the Voice.
contemplating whether I should watch yet another episode of "The return of superman ".
but i guess I really ought to get started on work asap.
The thing is that i really wanted to share this lovely little place that babe and I visited yesterday.
You see, I was feeling really jaded from work and tired from returning late from the wake. Not to mention the fact that I am still nursing a really bad cough.
I decided that the both of us deserve a little break, without me carrying my work around with me.
and since the both of us were hooked on Superman, we can't help but also be really tempted to try the "other" korean dishes apart from the popular korean bbq and that's how we decided on Toji!
It's really remarkable, because I was on the way down to meet him after his hair cut and I Google-d places before deciding on Toj and when I met up with him, he was like " babe lets visit this place.. which happens also to be Toji!
The both of us can't claim to be Korean food expert and to be honest, we are a little apprehensive, but Toji really got us sold!
We ordered 3 Main Dishes : Stir Fried Glass Noodles with chicken, BBQ Pork Belly and Spicy Seafood Tofu Soup.
First up, our complimentary side dishes. I love love love the porridge, kimchi, tuna salad, potato salad and everything else there!
I've always wondered why do koreans like glass noodles so much and now I know, it's really pretty flavorful with a rich but not overpowering taste of sesame oil.
BBQ pork belly is the boy's favorite. and over here, they have it nicely grilled for us. So sweet and juicy! Perfect with the lettuce wrap.

and my favorite silken tofu stew. If you are wondering if it is yet another kimchi soup base, it is not!
Neither is it bean paste. It is just really tasty with just a hint of spiciness but more of the seafood sweetness.
love,
J
