and I'm sitting in e living room after lunch,
feeling bored and a little lethargic.
The family is heading down to Natas Fair in awhile, but I'm stucked at home because I have to clear some administrative work.
So, how did you spend your weekend ?
I had a pretty exciting one,
we caught 2 movie this weekend.
On Friday,
The boy , my family and I went to watch Wolverine For Free at Lido, much thanks to mummy and her staff benefits.:)
It's been a long while since the family went to catch a movie together,
the movie ended around 9
and we had dinner at the famous pig organ soup place down at Ming Kee @ Jalan Besar.
Saturday was date night,
I cleared some work in the afternoon,
before wanting to head down to saveur for dinner.
Yet halfway through our journey, we decided to pop by marche instead.
Why?
because we were watching Masterchef and they were cooking Steak and potatoes
We were so hungry that we decided that we should just stop at somerset.
In short it was just not satisfying
and I don want to harp on it anymore.
We walked from town to purvis street wanting to satisfy the boy's craving for mango sticky rice? but it was ALL sold out by 8.30pm.
We sought temporal refuge at the nearby hainanese coffee shop for some traditional toast, cup cakes and tea.
undeterred, we set off for Ah Loy's @ nearby Shaw House only to find it close!
You should have seen the pouty face of eugan chan.
we were that desperate for mango sticky rice that we even tried our luck at Bali Thai in suntec but to no avail :(
hahahaha
and so... we had no choice to head back down to town ( via train) to catch Elysium..
Oh, bur did I mentioned that before the movie we actually went to Shinjuku and have Sashimi, sushi and to make happier, grilled pork?
YAH!! that's how much food we ate. LOL more of him actually. I was pretty stuffed and he finished the grilled kurobuta w leek by himself.
Elysium was pretty nice,
Sci-fi and all e excitement aside,
I thought it pictured a pretty sad side of life we might be heading towards,
should all of us one day turned capitalist,
start thinking of ourselves and our offsprings to be superior to that of others,
limits access to education and healthcare..
and treat a fellow human's life with disdain and carelessness.
I hope I never get to live to witness such transformation.
kinda reminded me of a show I watched,
abt humans forgetting what does it feel like to have emotions ( can't really rmb the title of the show already)
and so.. I had a pretty fulfilling weekend
but still, Too short.
as I'm typing this laterpost,
I've already ended my Monday at work.
in my heels, and aching hands.
the boy is showering
and I'm looking into my future ..
one without my maid and friend debbie in it.
I've always had a maid even though I'm
not the reason why e family gotten one.
it's really w arrival of my baby sister that prompted the family to have a maid,
and we've never looked back for the last 22 years.
yet, e decision was made recently, after considering that grabdma's not around w us anymore, and we only all get back in e evening..
there's isn't a need to have a maid.
( though I beg to differ)
I just wonder how long will e family seriously last w/o a maid.
B and I made a bet out of it.
Will unveil when's the time is right.
on a happier note..
we're heading to Beijing!
Yayyy!! no more Malaysia GENTING!
the BFF say it has been 10 years since I last step out of anywhere other than GENTING.
BUT to be fair, we went to Shanghai in 2009/2010.
Anws I'm just excited abt bei jing .. I've always loved places w rich history.
I'm fascinated not by the sights/shopping but really the many secrets that shrouds that place.
can't wait for December to come!
tHe best part is, The boy is coming along, uncle j's family is coming,
and.. we have own room!
that's a big step huh!
to end off... this is why the boy always make me laugh.
and why my best friend always make me smile , like when she deliver these nicely made muffin ( which debbie gorenged this morning ).. oh plus she also say the darnest thing. lol
