things I do w friends.
lol I guess you guessed as much.
We basically EAT EAT EAT and sometimes shop.
I'm waiting for babe to shower out;
so I thought I'll do a short sharing about good hang out place for like meet up that I really really liked.
1. Chomps - I think serangoon garden is like a rite of passage for many of us.
It's like the siglap of the north,
tgt w upper Thomson.
back when I was in JC,
this is the place to go after performances,
after orientation etc.
and recently,
I headed down there w yu n Ben.
3 of us,
and this is what we had
PLUS hokkien mee and 2 L of sugar cane drink.
personally, I prefer the hokkien mee of the lesser known stall right at the entrance of the hawker centre.
I ate there twice ? and e quality is always more consistent than the supposedly super famous stall at the back
post dinner was at dessert bowl.
this place is a MUST go when you are in e area, all for it's famous durian dessert.
You can smell the durian before you even enter the shop!
babe and I discovered it randomly during one of our night haunts down at the area and we loved it!
Ben really dig the durian mousse?
but my personal fav is still the pan cake.

Earlier last week, the schoolmates met up and have dim sum at
Novotel Clarke quay's dragon Phoenix!
this place really brings back much memories.
back then It wasn't called dragon Phoenix I think,
it was a Chinese restaurant owned wholly by the hotel,
and the family had many dinners there
( including grandma's bdae),
since daddy was a member of the htl then and there's always staff benefit.
I remember singing on the stage for grandma tgt w my cousins. lol
but that's another story altogether!
anws back to the food.
it's 50% off all ala cArte dim sum.
the entire gin- gang ordered almost everything on e menu.
it is ALOT Of food, this is only the first round.
the
custard bun wasn't fantastic though , neither was the shanghai dumplings,
but otherwise really good!
13 of us ,
at only $15 each.
pretty good deal huh!
the best part is,
its available on weekends too!
( gonna bring e parents down someday)

alrighty,
so the Monday before dim sum,
I met up w YAN for some brunch at club street social.!
simple food but extremely delicious.
im not really the all day breakfast girl,
( I used to really dig them, until they got all so pricey and I feel they taste the same and that I can make them myself)
so, while club street social serves all day breakfast, they also have mains and really neat sandwiches.
I love the duck and portebello sandwich!!
I can still remember its taste till now.
the bread is crunchy but soft on the insider
moreover, grilled portebello paired w minced duck meat is just plain heavenly!
it's a must go in my opinion,
for the sandwich. :)
I guess that pretty much sums up some places I visited w my pals last week!
holidays are good time for meet up
and I have a list lay before me.
got to meet up w more people before work starts getting crazy on me. :)
[ today i visited HCI ,
it's like a childhood dream come true
i remembered when i was younger,
i will draw e sch emblem to motivate myself to work towards that college.
when prelim came and i achieved a raw score of 8,
i didn have the guts to give it a shot for 1st 3 months unlike many of my peers.
because im pretty sure i wont do as well for my Os,( talked abt self fulfilling prophecy huh)
so Os came, i got a raw 11,
minus cca and higher chinese - which is invisible since i got a D7 for it,
im manage to retain my position in Nanyang.
on retrosepct, im glad i follow my gut feel and made e choice to go to NY ,which was really the best 2 years of my life.
walking into HCI today,
i can feel the intensity of having to perform,
kinda overpowering for me at this moment.
i never cld deal w competition well.
anws, my results were released ytd!
I've finished my first post grad studies! yayyyyyy !
although it's like kinda bad,
I think my gpa is like at best 3.7/5?
worse than my uni,
but I passed!!!
yayyyyy
another milestone completed :)
off to bed now!
bird park in 6 hours :)) ]
