I'm excited, but at the same time my mind is still thinking about work.
Vacation is coming to an end,
but I still have outstanding work, which I am not doing anything about it.
I just pray that the e-invoice will quickly come in.
let me sign it and go for vacation in peace. I'm not even reading any of the reports or proposal that is now sitting in my email. [confession is just a sign of procrastination and extreme guilt ]
Last weekend, babe and I were just aimlessly wandering around in town when we stumbled upon La Strada. Along with Bistrot Du Vin as well as Gaia, they are all part of the Les Amis group of restaurants.
Thus far we have had pretty good experience with Les Amis' restaurants. They are all worthy of a try. :)
As I wasn't really hungry and that the menu were all about pastas, the boy and I decided to just get the following to share. :
We had, in layman's term, seafood podomoro. It cost $32, but is worth every penny. I have NEVER, and I emphasize it again, NEVER had such a great seafood marinara-ish pasta before. Every piece of seafood on the plate is sweet and retains its unique taste. Trust me. I am such a boring person that I almost always order seafood pasta if I have a choice. Most of the time, I get frozen seafood. A good check? Their scallops are really sweet! That really says a lot. If you have eaten frozen seafood a couple of times, you'll know scallops are bland in those cases.
This was the starters that we got for ourselves. Portobello Mushrooms with bacon, rocket leaves and sunny side up.
I love it. The rocket loves were perfect and has the fragrance of sesame!
I can just keep eating this :)
Sometimes, I just enjoy the quiet times with him.
Dessert was down at Paul's at Taka. We had the strawberry tart with a chocolate Napoleon. Do not order their ice lemon tea. At $7.50, it is totally not worthy of the money.
We ended the night down at Jitburu to catch Man Utd in action.
I guess that pretty much summed up our weekend.
It's just something simple as hanging out.
Why am I writing this?
Not because I want to share with you the food we ate.
I was suddenly feeling weary.
Is it because of work?
Perhaps it is..
( that e-invoice is nagging at me)
I just really want my vacation with the family.
We are now in the midst of planning our christmas get-away.
and I also am looking forward to the first round of Hen's Partayyy.
so much fun this december,
i'm losing my waist line. Like totally.
I miss you b.
we've come a long long long long way.
We'll hit 3 years soon enough.
How is it that it feels so long already?
Has our relationship progress?
