black n white

It's the eve of chinese new year and I only just got home not long from visiting grandma.
Outside, it's pouring.
The first new year without her in the house, and I can't help but feel sad.
Elsewhere, everything seemed the same,
we go through the motions in life, but it's on special occasions like these that sets us thinking.

To think that last year this time we were all preparing to head out for our reunion dinner.
To think that this year, I was preparing to get her a new set of clothes to wear for CNY.
To think that right now, she is no longer physically around. :(

Life leaves us no rooms for regrets.
I just miss her a lot, the silence is just too stark sometimes.

On a lighter note,
I received an early V'day present from love! :)
I'm honestly not a brand-whore,
I just believe that for certain things ( like make-up and bags) I can afford to splurge a little more in exchange for credibility and comfort.

But if there's this one brand that I really appreciate,
It just got to be Chanel.
it's like how you can relate to them.
Classy. Clean. Simple and Steadfast.
That's Chanel to me.

Over the years,
She never once deviate from the classic white, black
shimmered only with the occasional burst of red,
and the seasonal neutral colors.
Never something loud and crazy,
it's like this lady that is forever poised and calm even in the face of rising adversity.
She stay true to her believes,
party wild when there's a need,
and only relate to those that t appreciates her.

The Classic

I have always coveted for this classic chanel ear studs that appear amongst us yearrrrs ago.
The market has seen its fair share of imitation,
but this classic beauty remains true and untarnished.

While the seasons may change, this classic beauty appears only momentarily every year in the stores worldwide.
Eugenia tried to get it for me back in france last december, but it was sold out.
So, you can imagine how very touched, surprised, ecstatic etc I was when babe managed to find it in our local stores!
I totally wasn't expecting it.. and while it's something small ( many of my girl pals already got it..)
I am just SOOOO EXCITED about it.

IT IS FINALLY MINE:)

but.. I don't think I'll go for it. I just appreciate how they always go the extra mile to make their members feel special. Even their promotional catalogue has much thoughts placed into it.


Alright, I better start with my assignments,
Can't really concentrate, cause my daddykins is cooking tonight!
